September 30th of 1936 by Luftwaffe order LV36- No 1447 was issued a new system of Luftwaffe marksmanship awards, these to replace the existing army style awards which were in the form of 8 cm long aluminium Tresse stripes that were placed on the left shoulder strap, and connected to the second buttonhole. The new lanyards - Schützenschnur was in 12 grades.
Grade 1- blue-grey silk cord, interwoven with aluminium threads and dark oxidized shield.
Grades 2 3 4 - the same as above, with the addition of 1-3 ( depends of grade) grey aluminum acorns.
Grade 5- Schnur with aluminium threads interwoven with blue-grey silk and bright aluminium shield.
Grades 6 7 8- as above, with the addition of 1-3 ( depends of grade) aluminum color acorns.
Grade 9- Schnur in blue-grey silk, interwoven with bronze colored thread and gold shield.
Grades 10 11 12-the same as above, with the addition of 1-3 gold acorns ( depends of grade)
