HJ Fahrtenmesser - HJ camp knife, RZM M7/55/38.

HJ Fahrtenmesser - camp knife without motto, transititional variant, maker's marked Robert Herder Solingen. RZM M7/55/38. The blade shows period use. The knife comes with its original steel scabbard with black finish removed. The brown leather hanger is intact and soft, closure is in perfect condition and functioning perfectly - marked by Luftschutz.  The nickel/chrome plated steel construction hilt has some minor coating damage due of age. The obverse grip has an imbedded enameled  HJ diamond. The HJ diamond features red enamel top and bottom rectangles and white enamel side rectangles with a black enamel swastika in the center. Black grips are damaged, but repaired. Seems the owner tried to threw the knife. Has some minor damage on the top of the hilt by the same reason. In general nice used HJ Fahrtenmesser.
