M43 Wehrmacht Heer tunic in rank of lieutenant of the 1st Infanterie Regiment. In the middle of war the regiment stayed near Ladoga Lake, Leningrad area, where took part in a strong defense combat. At the beginning of January the regiment has been transfered to Winniza (Ukraine) where were heavy defense battles. In March of 1944, to the north-western from Mogilew-Podolsk the regiment was closed in the Hube pocket "Hube-Kessel". The breaktrough from the pocket took place over Stanislau region, Brody and to to the southern of Lemberg /Lvov (Ukraine). In August of 1944 the Regiment has been moved to Ostpreußen in the area of Schloßberg northern of Gumbinnen where they took part in other strong combats. In January of 1945 the regiment returned to Königsberg. In the late of February of 1945 the regiment moved to Samland and Bereich Seerappen. There they were destroyed by Red Army in 15. Aprill 1945. The rest of formation abandoned to Pillau up to Weichsel-Mündung. The tunic has real combat look. All insignia, EK2 ribbon and loops are original to the tunic. Well worn example, with some period repairing on it . Flatwire eagle is hand applied, collar tabs - machine applied, the lieutenants shoulder boards are sewed in. The hooks and first aid kit could be placed by the owner or later, nobody can tell that for sure. Very nice combat tunic with its own character. Size is 94 cm breast, and could fit to 48-50 size mannequin.
