SSch-39 Russian steel helmet, 1939 year issue

SSch-39 Steelhelmet, 1939 year issue, due frontal star on it. The year factory markings are invisible, due of rust/ dirt inside. The helmet was used in the Finnish war, due of winter use with winter hat, the liner was removed, then back restored at the blockaded Leningrad in circa 1942 year for re-issue. Original paint (approx. 95%) and early model painted Red Star are present. All helmets used during the Winter War were modified to wear with a winter headgear instead of usual liner, so all the cotton liners were removed in the army depot. Nice example of early model for very reasonable !
