1939 War Merit Cross 2nd Class without Swords in Bronze
Original Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse 1939 ohne Schwerter (War Merit Cross 2nd Class without Swords). This decoration was awarded to civilians, as well as military personnel whose contributions supported the German war effort without involving direct combat. Unlike the version with swords, the cross without swords recognized achievements in industry, transport, administration, medicine, logistics, and other essential wartime services.
This example is manufactured in bronze and is preserved in virtually Mint condition. The only minor flaw is a light area of oxidation between the arms surrounding the swastika, typical of long-term storage. Otherwise, the finish, detail, and overall appearance are exceptionally well preserved. Excellent collector condition.
