SSh-39 Red Army Steel helmet for navy, in a grey navy repaint, early issue before 1940. Under the repaint, the front red star is clearly visible. The liner was removed, and the helmet was painted with a grey naval paint, new holes were punched for the chin strap, some kind of headgear was worn under the helmet. The condition is excellent.
