Model 1935 Red Army cap star, 34 mm in diameter, featuring an applied hammer and sickle. It was most likely a battlefield trophy taken by a German soldier. One point of the star is broken, presumably when it was removed from a cap. Sleeve stars of the RKKA political personnel, model 1935, used for ranks from Junior Political Instructor up to Battalion Commissar. Such stars were worn across a wide range of political officer positions within the pre-war Red Army. The insignia shows moth damage without traces of use.

Lieutenant RKKA railway troops shoulder board, 1943 pattern, produced as German reparation. The main part consists of two white cellon braids with a central black stripe, separately sewn underneath. The reverse is made of brownish cotton cloth used for NSDAP party uniforms. The strap is made from German field cloth. Likely production dating to 1945–1946, good condition.
