An extremely rare bottle of Brandflasche 42, 0.5 liter
An extremely rare bottle of Brandflasche 42, 0.5 liter. Most likely one of the first batches of bottles delivered to the Wehrmacht in the winter of 1941-42. Found in a bunker in an unopened box, with similar bottles and bags for fuses, in the Dukhovshchinsky district of the Smolensk region. The bottle is specific with a special neck. All the bottles in the box were the same, but from different manufacturers, which indicates unitarity and a certain specificity of their use. In the first versions, the incendiary fuse was attached to the neck using a piece of self-adhesive tape, like a medical plaster. The bottle still has remnants of the Flammöl Nr 19 mixture. Of all the bottles in the box, only four have survived. Today, such a bottle is unique and most likely, no other similar bottle has survived.
