Original Verwundetenabzeichen 1939 in Gold, second pattern, manufactured by Carl Wild, Hamburg, maker marked PKZ-107. Constructed from zinc with its original gilt finish. The catch pin is missing. Both the obverse and reverse exhibit localized finish blistering caused by the natural ageing of the zinc base metal. The gilt finish on the swastika has partially worn away, exposing the underlying zinc in several areas. Despite these condition issues, this is a genuine maker-marked example of the scarce Gold Grade Wound Badge, offered at a very reasonable price. Average collector condition.
