Early supporting straps designed for M35 and M40 tunics used by Wehrmacht and SS units. Equipped with aluminum hooks for belt retention. The set of straps is a matching pair and bears identical manufacturer markings, which is a rare occurrence. The straps themselves are also quite rare. Excellent condition.
Later, these straps were withdrawn from service. During the middle of the war, their components were repurposed for the production of various equipment, including ammunition frames, while the strap ends were used in the manufacturing of tunics from the 1942 and 1943 patterns.
