General Assault Badge (Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen) by Paul Meybauer.
The badge is made using a hollow zinc construction with beautifully preserved silvering. It remains in excellent condition, with minor silvering losses on the obverse caused by zinc bubbling — a common characteristic of zinc awards. Overall, the piece is superbly preserved.
This variant corresponds to type 1.21.2 (according to a known collector’s classification) but differs by having a solid area between the swastika, bayonet, and grenade. The hardware features indicate a later production period.
