Several interesting photos from the Eastern Front, including 2 interesting photos with Soviet prisoners of war (not shown in the photo gallery of the lot). In 1943 he received the rank of lieutenant. He served in the infantry unit in artillery platoon as artillery observer (some photographs show the cipher "B" on the shoulder straps) and there is also a sign at the entrance to the bunker with the name of the unit
