Original Ostmedaille 1941/42 bearing the PKZ-51 maker's mark of Eduard Görlach & Söhne, Gablonz an der Neisse. This manufacturer is among the rarest producers of the Eastern Front Medal, making marked examples highly desirable to collectors. Originally produced to an exceptionally high standard, the medal featured rich silvering on the outer wreath and deep blackening on the central core. Over the decades, the obverse has developed localized deterioration, including partial loss of the silver finish and minor zinc oxidation. Nevertheless, the medal retains crisp detail, an attractive overall appearance, and remains a scarce example from one of the least encountered manufacturers. Good collector condition.
