Luftwaffe Observer Badge by F.W. Assmann & Söhne, produced in the rare 2nd Pattern configuration. An unusual variant example. The Assmann maker marking is positioned on the wreath to the left of the pin. The badge is produced from buntmetal.
The badge remains in outstanding collectible condition, effectively mint. The eagle fully retains its original black finish without wear or restoration.
