K 98 combat bayonet leather frog

3rd Reich Wehrmacht or Waffen SS first type K/98 bayonet frog. Most of these early type frogs were discontinued by regulations order from January 1939. Regarding this regulation  the bayonet frog without the horizontal retaining loop was to be discontinued to use, but as we know  some examples existed after 1939 year. Seems not all factories followed the rules.  Well worn example with 4 aluminum rivets and correct stitching, however the black rough "hairy" leather has seen a lot of combat days. Still soft and pliable
