Late Heer Officer's Dagger Complete Set
Late-war Heer Offiziersdolch preserved as a complete original set. This dagger represents a late production example, featuring matte grey anodized steel scabbards without the bright finish of early variants and hilt fittings manufactured from unplated zinc. The white grip is made of wood covered with celluloid and remains exceptionally well preserved.
The blade has never been disassembled and remains in its original factory assembly. All components are tight, with no movement or evidence of tampering. The blade is unmarked, a characteristic feature of many late-production examples. It remains in outstanding condition with no bends, sharpening, or regrinding, retaining the original factory cross-grain finish throughout. The original leather buffer washer is still present between the crossguard and the blade, protecting the blade during insertion into and withdrawal from the scabbard.
The dagger is complete with its original late-war hanger fitted with zinc hardware. The velvet backing and aluminum bullion straps remain well preserved, showing only minor wear around the buckle attachments caused by normal contact with the uniform and field equipment. It is further complemented by its original matte officer's portepee woven from aluminized thread, displaying only minimal signs of use. A fully matching late-war officer's dagger set preserved in outstanding collector condition.
