Jaeger units
For all units of jäger divisions, on October 2, 1942, a badge in the form of an oak branch with leaves was introduced as a special insignia (HM 42, No. 892). In the case of transfers outside the Jaeger divisions, it has to be removed. Jäger battalions of infantry (grenadier) regiments were not allowed to wear a badge. The wearing and location on the cap and uniform were the same as on the edelweiss of the Gebirgsjägers
