Medal for "Defense of Kiev". Very good condition with minor traces of use. It's ww2 campaign medal of the USSR established on June 21, 1961 by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, to be awarded to the participants of the defense of the city of Kiev in 1941. The medal was awarded to not only RKKA soldiers and officers, but also troops of the former NKVD, as well as all the workers who participated in the defense of Kiev, members of the Kiev anti-nazi resistent and partisans who fought against the enemy in Kiev region.
