Remember your oath! Keep military secrets sacred!

Increase revolutionary vigilance
Every Red Navy sailor, commander, and political officer must realize the great political importance of every word and action. The enemy is cunning and deceitful, constantly seeking to extract military secrets from us. We must be especially vigilant and cautious.

GUNNER KASATKIN SHOOTS DOWN A "MESSERSCHMITT"

Gunner-radio operator Kasatkin has completed more than ten combat sorties. He flew over enemy territory, pouring accurate machine-gun fire onto them.

Recently, the radio operator-gunner achieved another victory over the treacherous enemy. While returning from a combat mission, his red-star bomber encountered "Messerschmitts." The navigator and gunner met them with machine-gun fire.

Engines roared, the air filled with tracer bullets. One of the enemy fighters got on their tail, preparing to fire. However, Kasatkin's counterfire blocked his path.

The fascist fighter attacked four times, and four times the precise fire of the aerial sniper disrupted his aim.

Frustrated by failure, the German pilot aggressively pressed his attack. But as the fascist ace lined up his shot, a volley from the gunner sealed his fate.

The "Messerschmitt" caught fire, flipped over, and crashed down.

Two other enemy aircraft, frightened by such a blow, turned back toward their airfield.

L. Taigov

VULTURES DRIVEN AWAY

Midnight. Silence. Suddenly, a distant hum of engines was heard, growing louder.

Signalman Zolotov reported this to his commander.

— Maintain close air surveillance.

From the forest’s edge, 12 enemy planes appeared — "Messerschmitt-110s."

Lieutenant Zimin, the anti-aircraft battery commander, quickly gave the order:

— Prepare for battle!

The crew immediately took their positions.

— Open fire on the enemy!

A long burst of gunfire blocked the enemy’s path. The enemy planes attempted to attack the battery from low altitude, but they were met with a hurricane of fire.

Realizing they could not complete their mission to destroy the anti-aircraft battery, the enemy shifted to attack the airfield instead.

But there too, the anti-aircraft gunners met them with coordinated fire, forcing them to retreat empty-handed.

In this battle, Junior Sergeant T. Zimin distinguished himself in fighting enemy aircraft.

ENEMY MOTORCYCLE COLUMN DESTROYED

For young Lieutenant Mikhail Emelyanenko, this was his second war. A year ago, he first encountered the cunning and treacherous enemy.

But neither the bitter cold nor the rains, nor loss nor pain—nothing could stop this young Stalinist falcon from carrying out the orders of command, the orders of his Motherland.

Mikhail Emelyanenko ruthlessly crushed White Guard bandits wherever his keen eyes found them.

For his courage and bravery in battle against the White Guards, the government awarded him the Order of the Red Banner.

Now, with even greater courage and determination, Lieutenant Emelyanenko fights a new vile enemy. His strikes against the fascist invaders are precise and relentless.

In just ten days, starting from July 1, he carried out about 20 combat missions.

Deceptively covering his approach, he flew over enemy groups, targeting both troops and individual vehicles of fascist gangs.

On one such mission, he flew toward a nest of the enemy.

Only minutes remained before reaching the target. The cunning fascist forces sensed danger.

But Emelyanenko did not hesitate. Overcoming risks and maneuvering skillfully, he boldly struck the enemy head-on.

Carefully aiming, he unleashed a furious barrage from his three machine guns. In a single minute, the enemy motorcyclists were scattered across the road.

The blow was precise. The bandit motorcycle column was annihilated.

L. Ryakhovsky.

CARRYING DEATH TO THE ENEMY

A heroic feat was performed by squadron commander Captain Gastello.

To the right, an enemy convoy moved along the highway. Captain Gastello’s aircraft rapidly descended, heading straight for the convoy.

Dozens of burning vehicles exploded into the air.

When the fuel tank is burning, when there is no escape,
When seconds are counted in fractions of time,
The last spark, the final light,
The last breath for the Motherland.

His steady hand will not fail,
His heart will not waver,
He is like a bomb, like death,
Like a lightning bolt in the fire.

He throws himself into the convoy,
An impact and explosion—his plane is shattered.
Fire spreads, striking the enemy,
Thus dies our hero,
Thus he fulfills his duty.

He carries death to the enemy.
