Reichsarbeitsdienst hewer. The grip is made of nickel silver with heavy silver plating. Such items were used not only for parade purposes but also during service training and practical duties. The blade bears the etched motto Arbeit adelt. The blade remains in good condition and shows clear signs of sharpening. Manufacturer marked E.D. Wüsthof, Solingen, with Ges. Gesch. marking and a triangular RAD stamp. The scabbard is of solid construction, made of steel, with nickel-plated upper and lower fittings. The scabbard body is painted black and shows age-related wear and corrosion. A transitional belt attachment clip for a leather frog is included, marked with the manufacturer’s oval stamp H & Co.
