The TPU collar tabs of the cadet indicate belonging to the Tallinn Infantry School which was relocated to Tyumen after 15 July 1941 (Tallinskoe Pehotnoye Uchilische). After July 15, after the defence of Tallinn, the surviving participants in the defense were redeployed and continued their studies in Tyumen. From August 27, 1941, the school was called the 2nd Tyumen Military Infantry School, and from September 16, 1941, having become part of the West Siberian Military District, the school received its former name - Tallinn Military Infantry School.
