Early SS Schutzstaffel Käppi, pre-RZM standard, privately purchased, manufactured in the late 1920s to early 1930s
Privately purchased and made from high-quality merino gabardine wool. Shows signs of wear, light scuffing, a patina of age with traces of dust and slight fading. Lined with blue fabric and equipped with a leather sweatband. A celluloid diamond is placed at the center of the crown, with a slip of paper beneath it bearing the owner's name and initials, I and R. The skull emblem was likely added later. A leather chinstrap is present, remaining in excellent, flexible condition. Metal parts, such as grommets and buttons, have left light traces of rust patina. Beneath the diamond is an ink stamp marking size 54, indicating the cap’s size. The cap itself is intact, without holes or damage, and remains in excellent condition.
