Early SS Verfügungstruppe helmet with double decals. An early archaeological find, fully covered with its original paint, which has a secondary layer on top. Beneath it, traces of an earlier grey shade typical of the first SS helmets are visible. The helmet is complete with its original liner and chinstrap. Both decals are exceptionally well preserved. The paint shows widespread bubbling, caused by age or exposure to heat. A magnificent example of an early-period SS helmet. The maker’s mark is illegible, but most likely ET-62.
