Fragment of Waffen-SS camouflage uniform fabric containing three different camouflage patterns. The exact origin of the material fragment is unknown, however clear traces of wartime field repairs using multiple camouflage fabrics remain visible.
The fragment includes two different Eichenlaub overprint patterns together with Platanentarn camouflage. An additional section of Eichenlaub camouflage fabric is also present. Such field repairs were commonly performed using whatever camouflage material was available at the time, without concern for matching patterns.
The material retains visible traces of prolonged field use, wartime stitching and repair work. An interesting original Waffen-SS uniform fragment demonstrating practical wartime repair methods used on camouflage uniforms and equipment.
