Gebirgsjäger lieutenant tunic 98th regiment
Wehrmacht Gebirgsjäger tunic of the 98th mountain regiment. Converted from an earlier pre-war parade tunic originally worn with colored piping. During service, the piping was removed and the tunic was adapted for field wear. Most likely due to the owner’s financial considerations. On the right sleeve, above the elbow, is the Edelweiss mountain troop badge - embroidered in aluminum thread. Rank lieutenant. Shoulder boards bear the number 98 indicating the 98th mountain regiment. Small size, approximately EU 46–48. Shows clear signs of use, overall condition good.
