German officers field visor hat - 17th infantry regiment in Wehrmacht. Only first and fourth companies were allowed to use the Braunschweig style skulls on their headgear and insignia in remembrance of 92th Braunschweig regiment history. The hat is a mid-late war example made of rough combat wool with originally attached insignia as well as WW1  Braunschweig style skull. The pasteboard used on the band is thin cardboard made. Very good condition, just one hole in the area of the wreath which is easy to fix/restore and we can do that by your request for free. Size 58.
