Wehrmacht's artillery field visor hat, crusher style. The cap is made of standard army wool, with red felt piping. A fashioned 'broken' style of a front-line soldier, otherwise called “alter Art”. The mid-war visor with sweatband is made of gray artificial Presstoff artificial leather, typical for the mid/end of the war. The visor hat has never had a chin cord, and there are no signs of a chin cord or buttons used on it. The zinc-made wreath cockade and zinc eagle also indicate late-war production. Celluloid diamond preserved on the lining with the markings: Militärmützen Militäreffekten. Eduard Bohnl, Riesa. Cap size approximately 56-57. On the back of the cap, there are two small repaired holes no larger than a match head, which is practically invisible. There are minor moth bites on the top of the hat. The cardboard band inside the cap is quite soft.
