Excellent condition with only minor moth damage on the back of the band, much smaller than a match head and in an invisible location ( shown in the picture). Austrian manufacturer correct for Gebirgsjäger units which have been enlisted mostly of Austrian men. It's marked Thom Janout Linz Stirndruckfrei Deutsches Reichspatent. The inner part of the cap band is made of impregnated, fairly flexible cotton material. Cap size approximately 57.
