German tropical felt helmet with zinc emblems, 1942

Original German tropical felt helmet with signs of use. The zinc emblems (national eagle and Reich colors shield) are factory installed and have never been removed. The outer felt is in excellent condition with no damage. The leather edging around the rim has flaked in places due to dryness. Original chinstrap present. The liner is marked "APN 1942" with size 57; leather remains soft, but at the rear seam the stitching has come apart (not critical for preservation). Good collectible condition.
