HJ Bann 137 Ost-Holstein – Treffenabzeichen, Eutin, 24 August 1934
Participant badge for the rally of Hitlerjugend Bann 137, held on 24 August 1934 in Eutin, East Holstein. The obverse features a painted HJ diamond emblem (swastika within a diamond) over stylized oak and laurel branches, surrounded by a runic-style inscription:

"Wenn die Väter die Schwerter zerschlagen – Die Söhne neue schmieden"
("If the fathers break the swords – the sons will forge new ones")

This phrase was widely used in Nazi propaganda to symbolize a break with the “weak” generations of the past and the forging of a new, militant spirit among the youth. The badge is a typical Treffenabzeichen, emphasizing the role of the HJ as the future foundation of the regime. The lower part reads: Bann 137 Ost-Holstein – Eutin – 24. August 1934.

Material: stamped tin, painted finish. Condition: good, with signs of wear.
