Waffen-SS Rauchtarnmuster Camouflage Shelter Fragment
Original fragment of Waffen-SS Rauchtarnmuster camouflage fabric, cut from an original Waffen-SS camouflage shelter. This camouflage pattern is encountered considerably less frequently than many other Waffen-SS designs, making it especially desirable among collectors of German Second World War uniforms. The fragment is of substantial size and remains well preserved. The autumn side retains stronger, more vivid colors than the summer side, while the latter shows only light period wear.
Following the end of the war, this section of camouflage shelter fabric was repurposed into a civilian item, which ultimately contributed to its preservation. Despite its post-war civilian reuse, the material remains an excellent example of the scarce Rauchtarnmuster pattern and is an attractive collector's and research piece. Excellent collector condition.
