The War Merit Cross 1st Class with Swords (1939) by LDO L/21 (Förster & Barth, Pforzheim) is a zinc piece and one of the rare examples bearing the L/21 mark. The cross retains its full silver finish, producing a bright and even appearance across the surface.
The pin was replaced by the original wearer for unknown reasons. One arm has a small surface-level imperfection. Silver loss appears only in two tiny points on the wreath where the three binding bands meet. The relief of the swords, the wreath and the textured arms remains clear, and the overall shape of the cross is fully preserved.
