Product Code: o468/1

Description

Luftwaffe officer visor cap, late-war issue, with Flak artillery branch piping
Luftwaffe officer’s visor cap from the mid-to-late war period, made of standard Luftwaffe field wool. Red piping indicates assignment to Flak artillery. Features zinc insignia. As common for late-war caps, it includes a simplified internal structure made of pressed paper, which often degraded during use — as seen on this piece.

The crown lining includes a sweat diamond with the maker’s stamp: V. Osterwalder, Pelze, Mütze, Hütte, Uniform-Effekten, Lüneburg. Aside from the internal wear, the cap remains in very good condition: no moth damage, only light signs of wear. It presents a strong, characterful appearance with a high crown and distinct saddle shape. Size approximately 58–59 cm.
