The badge "Ready for the sanitary defense of the USSR" (GSO USSR) was established in 1934 at the request of the Central Council of OSOAVIAKHIM. In 1934, a set of tests was introduced according to the standards "Ready for the sanitary defense of the USSR" and a badge of the 1st stage was established - for the adult population of the USSR. To receive the badge, it was necessary to be a member of Osoaviakhim, a hard worker in the professional field, and be active in air and chemical defense at work and at home.
