SA Dagger RZM M7/104 Ludwig Zeitler Vienna

Branch: NSDAP
Product Code: c/rk10
Price: On hold

Description

SA (Sturmabteilung) dagger, production period 1939–1942, late type. This example represents one of the first production runs of the Ludwig Zeitler factory following the assignment of its RZM license, while not being an early-pattern SA dagger in general classification. The dagger is marked RZM M7/104. Total length is 37.5 cm. Ludwig Zeitler is regarded as one of the rarest manufacturers of SA daggers, with total production estimated at no more than approximately one thousand SA daggers.

The wooden grip features pronounced ridge contours with a sharply defined central ridge. The wood shows a fine, even grain throughout. Two small longitudinal scratches are present near the lower crossguard area, consistent with period use. Otherwise, the grip remains in excellent condition. The SA runes button is fully intact and retains its original brown enamel without chips or cracks. The crossguard is made of nickel silver and shows only minor signs of use in the form of light surface wear rather than distinct scratches.

The blade is straight, steel, double-edged, and retains its original factory cross-graining. The SA motto Alles für Deutschland is crisp and clearly legible. On the reverse, at the ricasso, a double RZM circle with central shading is positioned above the maker’s code RZM M7/104. Blade geometry is perfect. Only minimal scabbard-related marks along the blade surfaces are present, along with a tiny spot smaller than a match head beneath the letter U in the word Deutschland. No corrosion or dark staining is visible.

The scabbard is steel and finished in brown lacquer. The surface displays an aged lacquer crackle pattern consistent with time. A small area of wear, rather than a deep scratch, reveals that the scabbard was originally painted black, likely for SS or NSKK issue, before being refinished. The scabbard fittings are steel with nickel plating, partially worn away, which is typical for late-type examples from this period. The scabbard has not been disassembled and remains in honest, untouched condition.

NB! This is a consignment item. Consignment items are subject to a 14-day inspection period starting from the date of receipt. After this period, all sales are final, and returns will no longer be accepted. Returns of consignment items are not accepted after the inspection period, as the majority of the payment is transferred to the consignor.
