The total length of the bayonet is 38.7 cm, significantly shorter than the 50.2 cm long G98 bayonet. The blade is straight, and the traditional hand guard was omitted. The bayonet was carried on the equipment belt in a leather frog, in combination with the entrenching tool and its carrier.

The maker is identified by the marking S/173G, indicating production by Coppel, Solingen, with the year of manufacture being 1935. The bayonet additionally bears the serial marking 881D. The leather frog shows no visible markings due to heavy deterioration of the leather.

The blued scabbard displays two small rust spots and natural wear consistent with service use. The bayonet itself remains in excellent condition, with only minor rust spotting on the upper protective rail. Overall, the bayonet is preserved in superb condition.
