A rare set of six tokens from the DJH youth hostel and youth castle system, which operated under and was supervised by the Hitlerjugend during the late 1930s and early 1940s
Each token is made of pressed cellulose (the typical “Kartoffelin” material) and features an embossed image of the respective hostel or castle along with its name
The set includes: Jugendherberge Adolf Hitler Herberge, Jugendherberge Brunn i. Pommern, two variants of Jugendherberge Baldur von Schirach, Jugendherberge Tübingen/Neckar, and Jugendburg Monschau (Eifel)
