Issued to commemorate the Hitler Youth sports competitions held in the city of Steyr from 9 to 13 July 1941 in the Oberdonau (Upper Danube) region. The design features the national eagle with "Ober Donau" inscription, the Hitler Youth diamond emblem in the center, and the city coat of arms of Steyr at the bottom.
The badge is in excellent condition with minimal signs of wear. The original pin attachment is fully intact. A typical wartime zinc badge without additional finish.
An extremely rare badge, very rarely seen on the collectors' market, with most collectors never having encountered an example in person.
