SS VT double-decal helmet, size 68
Early SS Verfügungstruppe double-decal helmet of archaeological origin, in very solid and highly collectible condition. Multiple layers of paint are visible on the shell: the parade black finish later overpainted with the standard grey typical of early SS-Verfügungstruppe units. Both decals remain well preserved, showing layered application from different service periods. Maker’s mark is illegible, size 68. Has some rust and oxide. The leather liner is hand-signed by the owner, Andke. The leather is not attached to the outer ring. An excellent example from the early formation period of the SS forces.
