Visor hat for the lower ranks of the Luftwaffe Flak Artillery. Excellent, near unworn condition with no losses or traces of insect activity. Early aluminium eagle and cockade. The cockade in the centre is fastened with a pair of stitches of white thread, although the prongs of the cockade fastening are not broken off. The sweatband is made of impregnated paper leatherette, which to this day most often falls into disrepair due to its low wear resistance. This example has only a small crack on the front. Cap size 55. In the centre of the blue lining there is a celluloid sweat diamond with the manufacturer's mark: Tiller Wien 79/62 Mariahilferstraße 22. The cap is in beautiful condition. Between the cap and the sweatband lies a Christmas greeting from the Goebbels Ministry: Der Reichsminister für Volksaufklärung und Propaganda Berlin, Weihnachten 1940 Der tapferen Soldaten der Flak, die unsere Reichshauptstadt beschützen, mit den herzlichen Grüßen und Wünschen zu Weihnachten! Heil Hitler! Dr. Göbels Reich Minister of Education and Propaganda Berlin, Christmas 1940 To the brave anti-aircraft gunners defending our imperial capital, warm greetings and Christmas wishes! Heil Hitler! Doctor Goebbels. A rather rare form of congratulations comes along with the cap.
