Waffenrock of a Wehrmacht Infantry Major with Adjutant’s Aiguillette
Early parade Waffenrock of a Wehrmacht infantry major with full white piping along the front, cuffs and dark-green collar. Early nickel-silver buttons throughout. The right sleeve shows traces of a removed Ehrenband. The adjutant’s aiguillette is placed in the shoulder loop. Officer shoulder boards and collar tabs display white infantry piping. The ribbon bar includes: Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1. Oktober 1938, Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42, Kriegsverdienstkreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern and Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse 1939. The buttonhole carries the black ribbon of the Eisernes Kreuz 1914.
Some moth damage is present, partly darned by a previous owner, but the tunic remains structurally intact and fully original. Considering its condition and completeness, this is a highly attractive example at an excellent price level, ideal both for a new collector and for an established collection.
