Wehrmacht Infantry officer's visor cap. Salty condition. The felt band and the lower part of the cap are moth damaged. Cap size approx. 55. Marking on the lining - Peküro. The cap never had celluloid diamond. The chin cord and the cockade with oak leaves show signs of oxidation at the point of contact between the cord and the cockade. The early eagle is made of cupronickel and is original to the visor. The upper part of the cap is made of woolen gabardine-tricot and is slightly damaged by moth.
