6.Kampfspiele Garmisch-Partenkirchen 1941
Rare participant badge from the 6th Winter Combat Games (Winterkampfspiele) organized by the Hitler Youth in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in 1941. The obverse features crossed skis and an enameled HJ diamond, with the date "1941" above and the inscription 6. Winterkampfspiele Garmisch-Partenkirchen around the edge. Delegations from eight European countries participated, including members of the Norwegian youth organization NSUF. Each country was allowed up to five athletes in three disciplines: cross-country skiing, ski jumping, and downhill. No more than 40-60 badges were issued, reserved solely for participants. A few surviving sets include an official diploma featuring a greeting from Hitler, participant details, and the games program. The event is documented in NS Årbok 1942, the newsreel Die Deutsche Wochenschau Nr. 548, and Axmann's biography.
