White piping has been used from 1942, red stripe (Rote Kordel) shows the Kriegsfreiwillige - military volunteer which is not a rank designation, but is a decoration. It was stated that this red cord was the " highest possible decoration for the HJ". The metal Bann's numbers aren't an official use, the owner attached them to make a fashion look and show his bravery. The original factory embroidery can be seen on the reverse side of the shoulder straps. Interesting combination!
