During the Allied landings in Normandy, the regiment conducts active combat operations against the Allies as part of the 708th Infantry Division. During the war, Perigueux was one of the centres of resistance in France, and was one of the centres of resistance in France. Despite the Allies' promises to "save the lives of the personnel" upon surrender, all officers of the 360th Regiment rejected any offers and tried to escape from the encirclement. As a result, after 3 days of fighting, the volunteers were able to escape from the encirclement and left the outskirts of Pergues on August 19, 1944
