Luftschutz NSFK Gladiator Helmet, Final Pattern

Civil defense helmet of the Luftschutz, gladiator type, final production pattern, made by one-piece stamping with a characteristic flat rim. It was used by the National Socialist Flyers Corps (NSFK) and bears on the front a decal depicting Icarus with outstretched wings, holding a ribbon inscribed with "NSFK" and a swastika at his feet. Rare combination of late war Luftschutz helmet and NSFK decal. 

The helmet is in mint condition, showing no signs of wear. The metal and paint are perfectly preserved, the surface without abrasions, and the decal absolutely sharp. Inside is the original liner made of soft leather.
