M40 SS Feldmütze- side cap for Waffen SS armored units

M40 SS Schiffchen - side cap for Waffen SS armored units. The cap is made of blue-black felt, similar to the one used for producing of  the German SS insignia. Size 58 is marked with white paint on a black cotton lining. The front part of the garrison cap has damage from rough removal of the SS BeVo skull, as well as minor traces of insects bites on the felt base. Generally good condition for a rare item.
