Gunner-radio operator of the 1st mine and torpedo air regiment of the Soviet Red Banner Baltic Fleet, MIA during a combat mission in the Liepaja area (Libau) on October 7, 1944.
He received the medal "For the Defense of Leningrad", the Order of the Patriotic War 1st degree, the Order of the Red Star, the Order of the Red Banner (posthumously). From the award document for the Order of the Red Banner it's stated that he flew 117 combat missions and participated in the sinking of five enemy transports with a total displacement of 23,000 tons.
