RAD EM Hewer M1934 Carl Eickhorn Solingen

Branch: NSDAP
Product Code: c/rk8
Price: 850.00€

Description

RAD (Reichsarbeitsdienst) EM hewer, Model 1934. Manufactured by Carl Eickhorn, Solingen, with the maker mark on the blade. Total length is 39.7 cm. This example shows honest signs of use, consistent with a working tool rather than a parade piece.

The blade remains in excellent condition with visible signs of service use. Several hammer strikes are present along the spine, resulting in minor corresponding dents along the blade edge. Blade geometry remains intact. The obverse bears the RAD motto Arbeit Adelt, while the reverse is etched with the maker mark Carl Eickhorn Solingen.

The grip is made of zinc with nickel plating. The plating shows areas of bubbling and flaking, with sections where the nickel has cracked and lifted. Along the spine of the grip, the nickel has worn through, exposing the zinc base metal beneath. The grip remains structurally sound and untouched.

The scabbard retains its original black finish, showing period wear and surface scuffing, with no evidence of repainting. The scabbard fittings are made of nickel silver and remain in good condition. The scabbard has not been disassembled or altered.

NB! This is a consignment item. Consignment items are subject to a 14-day inspection period starting from the date of receipt. After this period, all sales are final, and returns will no longer be accepted. Returns of consignment items are not accepted after the inspection period, as the majority of the payment is transferred to the consignor.
