In excellent condition, with perfectly preserved and evenly retained gilding. The badge is made of zinc. Instituted by the German National Equestrian Association (Deutsche Reiterliche Vereinigung), it was awarded for high achievements in horseback riding and dressage. At the bottom of the oak wreath is the letter "R" – the symbol of the Reiterverband. The reverse is marked GESETZLICH GESCHÜTZT L. CHR. LAUER NÜRNBERG-BERLIN.
